Torrevieja continues to transform its relationship with the sea. On June 11, Paseo del Mar was officially inaugurated, a new leisure and restaurant complex located in the port of the city that reinforces the connection between Torrevieja, its seafront and local life.
With a privileged location facing the Mediterranean, this project expands the leisure and gastronomy offer for residents and visitors, and opens a new stage for one of the most emblematic areas of the city.
What is Paseo del Mar?
Paseo del Mar is a new space dedicated to gastronomy, leisure and experiences located in the heart of the port of Torrevieja.
The complex has been designed as an area open to the public where residents and visitors can enjoy restaurants, cafes, terraces, events and plans by the sea throughout the year.
Its objective is to strengthen the connection between the city and its port, recovering for citizen use one of the most emblematic areas of the Torrevieja coastline.
A project of great impact for Torrevieja
Paseo del Mar is not only a new shopping and gastronomic area. It also represents one of the most important private investments recently made in Torrevieja.
The project has involved an investment of more than 60 million euros and foresees the creation of more than 400 direct jobs. In addition, it will have 27 premises for restaurants, leisure and services.
Its opening reinforces Torrevieja’s position as one of the most important tourist destinations in the province of Alicante and contributes to boosting the port’s economic activity throughout the year.
A massive inauguration
The inauguration brought together hundreds of attendees, including representatives of the Generalitat Valenciana, the Port Authority of Alicante, the Torrevieja City Council, businessmen, local associations and the media.
The event served to officially present the facilities and highlight the transformation that the port of Torrevieja is experiencing.
One of the highlights was the traditional inaugural ribbon cutting.
The day concluded with a cocktail and a visit to the new facilities, allowing attendees to learn first-hand about the project.
What restaurants and venues will be in Paseo del Mar?
Paseo del Mar will bring together a wide range of gastronomic and leisure activities with national and international brands.
Among the brands announced are restaurants, cafeterias and restaurant spaces such as McDonald’s, Starbucks, Foster’s Hollywood, Taco Bell, Popeyes, La Rollerie, Santagloria, Casa Carmen, TGB, Muerde la Pasta, La Sureña and other operators that will contribute to turning the complex into one of the new meeting points in the city.
The combination of gastronomy, terraces and views of the port seeks to attract both residents and visitors throughout the year.
