With “Salt, fire and pirates”, Miss Flamingo proposes a dramatized and interactive visit to discover the history of the Torrevieja coast in a different way: the surveillance of the coast, the warning signs, the maritime incursions and the importance that salt had for the territory.
A different way to get to know the Torre del Moro in Torrevieja
For centuries, observing the horizon was much more than contemplating the Mediterranean. Watchtowers made it possible to monitor the coastline and raise the alarm in the event of possible dangers, using smoke signals during the day and fire at night.
That past is the starting point of Salt, Fire and Pirates, an experience that turns the surroundings of the Torre del Moro and Cabo Cervera into a stage in which theatre, historical dissemination, humour and interaction with the public are mixed during the tour.
The experience premiered in September 2026, after those attending the launch of Miss Flamingo were able to enjoy a first preview and meet some of its characters.
A dramatized visit in which you also participate
You don’t just come here to listen to a story.
Through a narrator guide and different characters, the participants discover how this coast was protected and also become part of the action: they will act as lookouts, transmit alarm signals between towers and help symbolically protect the salt.
The landscape of Cabo Cervera itself is part of the experience. The Tower, the horizon and the Mediterranean cease to be simply the background to become part of history.
Characters that make the story come alive
The proposal has been promoted by Miss Flamingo and developed in collaboration with Impulsarte, a platform of artists led by Javier Miranda, responsible for the stage direction, the artistic team, the interpretation of the characters and the dynamization of the visit.
The intention is that history is discovered in a close and entertaining way, using the local heritage as a stage and making the audience stop being a simple spectator.
A dramatized visit to enjoy Torrevieja with the family
Salt, Fire and Pirates is designed as a family activity for residents and visitors, but it is not an exclusively children’s experience.
The combination of characters, history and small dynamics allows children and adults to participate together while discovering a part of Torrevieja’s heritage in a different way.

And finally, Flavors of the Coast
After the tour, the experience ends in front of the Mediterranean with “Flavors of the Coast”, a seafood tasting inspired by the Mediterranean tradition.
In addition, those who want to take a different souvenir with them can add a themed professional photograph, with costumes and props inspired by the period.
